Top 3 places to play in Whistler

 In Golf & Travel

Not too far from our last post is the vacation town of Whistler. This place is known more so for the ski hills and being every Australians winter wonderland, however the summer in Whistler can be just as amazing as the winters! If you’re a golfer and are looking for a great golf getaway with friends or family, this is the place to be. Today I’ll be featuring my Top 3 Golf Experiences in Whistler!

Number 3 – Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club

This is a great golf course and it’s literally minutes from the heart of the Whistler Village. With great tall trees, beautiful views at every turn and a very fun layout, you’re bound to have a great day. The course itself is not overly challenging but it gives players the opportunity to take chances, make birdies and partake in an exciting golf experience. Every time I’ve played there it has been in perfect condition and the staff have been nothing but accommodating. You don’t need to go far in order to have a great round while in Whistler, check out the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club!

Number 2 – Big Sky Golf Club

The 2nd course on our list doesn’t share the location convenience of Number 3 but it is definitely worth the journey. Big Sky Golf Club isn’t in Whistler but it’s about a 40 minute drive in a town called Pemberton. Do yourself a favour and don’t let the drive keep you from playing here, trust me. The property that this course calls home is spectacular. Pressed up against Mount Currie every single one of your shots is accompanied by an amazing mountain view. The “wow” factor here is off the charts. The course itself is tough but fair and will definitely make you think twice over a few tee shots. The smartest golfers will prevail here and everyone will have fun!

Number 1 – Nicklaus North Golf Course

Clearly this one was designed by the Golden Bear and it should come at no surprise that he did and amazing job. Tree lined fairways and beautifully crafted holes leave players tapping in on 18 and still wanting more. The course (in the summer) is always in perfect condition and you definitely get your money’s worth when you tee it up here. Do not leave Nicklaus North off your “Places To Play” list. Once you’ve played it once, you’ll be craving it again and again!

Whistler is a remarkable vacation destination and there is undoubtedly fun for everyone around every turn. Leaving this place off your list would be a massive mistake and hopefully this list will help you plan your next golf trip!
